March For Our Lives Trip for HCPS

My name is Ndia (India) Webb and I am a sophomore at Strawberry Crest High School. I am on GoFundMe today because I am interested in making a change and need your help. In light of recent tragedies involving school-based shootings, I have been motivated to be a voice in the March for Our Lives movement. This is not intended to be a political red or blue issue, but instead a united student safety issue. I am sure there are more students that share my stance on this topic and I would like to give them the opportunity to participate. My goal is to charter buses for a certain number of students in Hillsborough County that would take us to Washington D.C., where the march is held. These students would be selected through an application process, that is open to all high schools in Hillsborough County. I have created this page to help cover the expenses of the trip. The plan would be to leave on the Friday evening of March 23rd in order to make it to Washington by morning for the march. We would then book hotel rooms for Saturday night and then leave early Sunday morning. Parents (that have volunteered in Hillsborough County before) and teachers are encouraged to chaperone this trip. I am asking you to support my endeavors and approve/sponsor this trip for change.

Please help us get there so that we may be able to speak with the rest of our peers on an issue that affects every student in the nation. Your donation will cover lodging as well as transportation to and from Washington D.C. All of the extra proceeds we receive will go towards the victims from the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting GoFundMe page.
