Running Original Marathon

My name is Manuel Monade, Chair for Southwark Refugee and Migrant Project (http://www.southwarksrp.org/) and I'm running the original marathon from Marathon to Athens on Sunday November 13th 2016 for the benefit of refugees and migrants in London.
In the current political context we think a lot about refugees waiting in camps but we tend to forget what happens to them once they arrive to a safe country like the UK. Our organisation has been helping refugees & migrants settling in London for the past 25 Years and needs more than ever your support to carry on with its important work.
The funds that will be raised through that campaign will help us to develop a program of activities and services for recently arrived migrants and refugees in the UK. For instance, we willl set up free social activities at week-ends (when all others service providers are usually closed ) to ensure that they can benefit from a safe place where they can share their stories and receive support and information.
Part of the money raised will be donated to Age UK Lewisham and Southwark towards their Communities Living Well project:

to support us in the delivery of fun and healthy activities for older groups fo migrants and refugees.
