Marafiki Africa Journey

Donation protected
My name is Regina Snape and I am a freelance photographer, activist, wife and mother. Raised in the Brooklyn, New York area. With a degree in Graphic Arts. The obsession of photography happen from a young age and has always been a passion of mine. It is desire I would push off for sometime, until I realized that I was unhappy working for someone else and building their dream. So during my studies I took photography classes and fell in love all over again. I could not come up with a good enough reason, why I was not in business...so I launched my own business in June 2016 and the rest is history. If you know me personally or in passing then you know I am always there to lend a hand when needed. I have been involved in humanitarian work in the pass such as No Kid Hungry, which brought together a community of people, who knew nothing about eachother and made it a day to remember as well as providing summer meals to children.  This GoFundMe is to help in reaching my goal. To be a part of a once in a lifetime opportuntiy. Recently I was selected to be a photographer and volunteer with non-profit organization Marafiki Africa. The program consist of me traveling to Tanzania, Africa to document and participate in their humanitarian efforts for the local villagers. This a once in a lifetime experience, that I do not want to miss! I am strong believer we are here to serve others and to leave the earth better then when we entered it. The business internship program provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to economically empower small business owners in east Africa. After learning about each business owner’s situation and challenges, volunteers present ideas, opportunities, and solutions (marafikiafrica.org). When: August 1, 2018 - August 14, 2018 Where: Morombo Village near Arusha, Tanzania Cost Detail: Program Fee: $2250 Flight: $1300+ Visa: $100+ I will be joining a team on a two week mission trip to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Marafiki Africa is simply amazing! They provide food, clothes, education, clean water and love to natives and small business owners. They run a village in Arusha, Tanzania. They do all this in a community centered environment, serving the families to build a better future for each family and business owner. As a friend, I invite you to be part of our trip by supporting us through your thoughts and prayers. I am praying for a smooth trip, safety for the team and good health during our travels. I pray that my efforts will continue to build upon what Marafiki Africa has already started and have a lasting impact on the residents of Tanzania. And I will find comfort during my trip knowing that you are all supporting me from home! If you feel moved to support my cause financially, thank you! Flights to the other side of the world are costly and I want to be sure it is funded and I am able to dedicate my summer to the people of Tanzania. And we know you will be, too. Thank you and God bless! For anyone who donates fifty dollars or more, I will provide a *FREE*(8X10) print from my previous work or one from my travel.
