Send David Manthos to the DNC

I am asking for your help to represent West Virginia, Bernie Sanders, and his progressive movement at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Your financial support will help cover the costs of travel to the convention from West Virginia, lodging in DNCC-approved rooms (which can cost upward of $220/night), and food to keep going during lengthy floor sessions and speeches. A #progressivearmy is descending on Philadelphia, but we need your help to stay in our authorized encampment in Valley Forge and to provision the troops.

I promise to be extremely frugal with all resources raised here. I plan to share a room, pack as much food in to save on expensive concessions, and help out my fellow delegates wherever necessary. I work for an environmental non-profit and already spent over $1,000 of my own money (and over $6,000 contributed by supporters like you) on my campaign for the State Senate, so I could really use your help to continue making a difference in politics for the Democratic Party and West Virginia.

I am the President of the Eastern Panhandle Young Democrats, and in the 2016 Primary election cycle I was the only candidate from the Eastern Panhandle to officially endorse Senator Sanders. 


At the 2016 WV Democratic Convention in Charleston I had the great opportunity to help introduce positive changes to the environmental platform and to work on resolutions regarding cannabis and hemp,  all of which were adopted with overwhelming support by true West Virginia Progressives.

I believe I can help show Democrats across the country that West Virginia should not be written off as some "lost colony" and that the progressive fire still burns. Together we can ensure the best possible outcome for Senator Sanders and the Progressive Movement he has inspired. Thank you!
