Please help MMDR help Gizzy!

Gizzy is a 10 week old old foster dog who was rescued by Manitoba Mutts in January 2017 after being hit by a car. He was paralyzed, and after being flown into Winnipeg and arriving at a vet his x-rays revealed that he had a severely broken femur. Surgery was attempted to plate the femur and save little Gizzys leg but since his bones were too brittle and broken, he ended up needing his leg amputated.
During the surgery, Gizzy went into cardiac arrest which has caused him to become partially blind and only able to see shadows.
Gizzys total care is going to cost approximately $6000. This includes the amputation surgery, medications, wheelchairs (he’s still growing so he may need 2), a halo (to help him not bump into things), and future rehabilitation treatments. We have already raised $2600 via our Facebook pleas, but we need help to raise the rest. Amount needed will be updated weekly from both sources of donations.
Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue Inc. (MMDR) is a registered Canadian Charity that was founded in January, 2011. MMDR rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes approximately 500 animals each year and solely uses volunteer foster homes to accomplish this mission.
