Mango Tree House

...for young people in London dealing with the effects of violent crime.

Why?
There are too many hurting inner city kids who are having to sit through their school lessons whilst grieving for their classmates. Some of them are plotting revenge, some have become withdrawn, and some even become suicidal. It has such an effect, not only on the families, but also on the other young people associated with the deceased.

Mango Tree House aims to...
- Counsel young people dealing with the loss of friends and family to violent crime.
- Prevent violent crime by teaching young people how to deal with their feelings and difficult situations.
- Instill a sense of pride and purpose into young people at risk of violent crime.
- Be an online information hub for young people and families seeking advice and support.

Why I need you...
With your help Mango Tree House can get started on a great work. It will be able to hire a 'treehouse' (safe place) to run workshops and activities for young people. They will be encouraged to share their experiences and discuss the issues they deal with every day. They will also learn how to translate negative, hurtful energy into positive creative energy via music, arts and media. Eventually we would also like to take the workshops into secondary schools.

Mango Tree House formed in my mind about 10 years ago after my Father was murdered. My father (nicknamed Mango) was stabbed to death in his home by a group of young men in 2007. Two of my little sisters were aged 12yrs and 14yrs old at the time and there wasn't any real help for them in terms of how to process their feelings. I remember searching for organisations but what I found was not suitable for the type of kids that I know needs help. My Dad, Julien Warrington was loved by the community he lived in and was a father-figure to some of the youth in the area. This is what he would have done.

My favourite photo of Dad with my little sister Shannice.

Your donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to me. It would be a privilege to have your personal contribution towards such a worthy cause as well as keeping my Dad's legacy alive. Even if you can't help financially I would appreciate you sharing this on your social media and I promise to keep you all updated with my progress.

Thank you and bless you!
