MANGA Hats help Japanese NK Victims

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for reading. Inspired by President Trump's first trip to Asia, I've created the "MANGA" hat (a play on Trump's world famous "MAGA" hats) to help raise money for the Japanese families who's loved ones have been abducted by the North Korean government.

How did this project come to be?

My name is Aaron. I'm an American who's living in Tokyo, and I work in the game and manga industry here. About two years ago, I started helping Japanese companies run crowdfund campaigns. It's been a great experience but for a long time I've had a reoccuring feeling like I should try using this knowledge to do something for the greater good... specifically, something to give back to Japan, a country that's welcomed me with open arms as a foreigner and that's given me so much.
About a month ago I heard that President Trump would be visiting Japan and while laying in bed one night, a completely random thought popped into my head... "MAGA" is only one letter away from "MANGA". I kinda laughed, thinking it would be fun to create a MANGA hat to mark his trip to Asia.
A little bit later, I read that while Trump is in Japan, he will be meeting with the Yokota family who's 13 year old daughter was abducted by North Korea. This is the girl that Trump brought up in his first speech to the UN. That's when everything clicked... this is how I can give back. The MANGA hat can become real, and it can help raise money for an important cause.

How will the money we raise be used?

100% of the profit I raise on GoFundMe will be given as a donation to the Japanese National Association for the Rescue of Japanese Kidnapped by North Korea (NARKN), an association formed in 1997 by the Yokota family and other Japanese families, who's family members were kidnapped by the North Korean government. This is an amazing association that works together with other similar international associations to fight each day to have their loved ones returned to them. The MANGA hat is the Japanese version of the MAGA hat because manga has been making the world great since before we were born!
Along with the help of a few good manga and game industry friends, I've created 9 different MANGA hats, so hopefully there's something for everyone.

The embroidery on the hats is being done in Akihabara, Tokyo, the Manga capital of the world by a small "mom and pop" embroidery shop that we've teamed up with. Here's some photos of me going over the design details with them, to get the logo just right.
