Debbie Johnson

Our mom, Debbie Johnson,("Mamo") was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of breast cancer in 2016. She has undergone countless different chemotherapy treatments along with radiation therapy. Unfortunately, these different treatments have not been working as the doctors have hoped. Since Mamo has refused to give up on this fight, We(her children) have decided to do all that we can to try and help our mom and dad to get our mom the best treatment possible. Most of the treatments that Debbie has undergone thus far have been financially draining and have needed to be paid out of pocket due to the insurance company refusing to cover those expenses. Even with the insurance not covering a huge chunk of our mom's treatment, that has not stopped our dad, Steve Johnson, from sacrificing and putting every hard earned penny in to the out of pocket costs of those treatments that have reached upwards of $100,000, and we still have a lot of fighting to go. So, we have decided to reach out and ask for your help. 
With your help, proceeds will go towards previous, present, and future uncovered medical expenses. We are hopeful that the next steps for Debbie will include sending Debbie to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas which is the #1 cancer center in the world for further research and specialized treatment. Mamo's application has been submitted and processed and they have now entered the interview phase of the application process.  Because she has been marked as a good candidate for new and upcoming clinical research trials, there is a great chance that she will be selected to become a patient there. These clinical trials have shown a great success rate. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover these costs.  Many people have been asking how they can help... so, we are asking our family and friends to pull together and join "Mamo's Army" to  help support Mamo and her fight and to get her to Texas to get the treatment and care that she so desperately needs.
If you know our mom, she lives for her kids and grandkids and to us, she is our world.
