Making it to Joffrey Ballet!

Dance is a big part of my life, and it is my passion. I've always known that this is what I want to do as a career, and in my future. I have danced since I was four years old and it has always been the thing that makes me happiest.  I have gotten to dance with my mother and grandmother in local performances, and my great-grandmother even danced with Martha Graham. I want to be a professional dancer and I believe I have what it takes to do that.  So, I have taken my dancing to the next level. 

Recently, I went to an audition for a prestigious dance school, the Joffrey Ballet School. This was an amazing experience and I learned that I have been offered a partial scholarship to attend a summer intensive program in San Francisco for three weeks.  This means I will get to go to San Francisco, stay in a dorm for 2 weeks, and dance for about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.  The program runs from July 24th - August 4th.

My goal is to raise $3,000. The funds raised here, with your support, will help cover the cost of partial tuition, housing, and food. If I am able to reach my goal, this would be an amazing opportunity for me and what I hope is  a fun experience and a push toward what I want to do.
