Making Art Possible

Donation protected
Hello, I teach Art at Stillwater Middle School.  Approximately 500 students take art at our school each year. We develop not only art skills but life skills such as communication, problem solving, collaboration, etc. But most of these lessons in art class require consumable supplies. Did you know if we each received one piece of art paper each day of school we would spend over $1,300 on paper? Just on paper!

As you all know, education has been hit hard with budget cuts, especially in the arts.  We do not receive a school budget and must provide for our own expenses, including supplies, equipment, textbooks, and field trips to art museums. We pursue grants, donations, and fundraise each year. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to cover class supplies, replacing outdated kiln equipment, purchase of a classroom set of textbooks, and our trip to a local Museum of Art.

Please consider donating to our program and know that you're not just putting paper in a classroom, you're enabling a child to pursue an interest, a passion, life skills, and possible careers.

Despite the budget crisis and underfunded programs, I know we live in a generous and kind community. I have faith that my students will be provided for and I thank you for being a part of that!
