Representing Georgia in Cleveland

(I originally had a story typed up, however considering that people are generally on the go and do not have the time to read, I attempted to make this as basic as possible in the beginning so the point is made, while also adding information in the end whenever there is time given to sit and stay awhile. Hey, everyone!

My name is Avery Anderson.

  I was selected to be an "Alternate Delegate" to the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

  Not only is it a tremendous honor to represent Georgia, but I have the greatest honor in representing Rabun County and the 9th district.

  Getting to Cleveland by myself will not be easy, and what funds I have will not be able to help me make the trip.

  That is why I hope I can depend on you, the people, to make donations to me so that I am able to accomplish this task that has been bestowed upon me.

So, what does it mean to be an Alternate Delegate?

As an Alternate, my responsibilities include:

- Attending the convention, and representing the Georgia voters,
- Reviewing and discussing agenda items with other delegates,
- Filling vacancies in the event that delegates are absent or withadrawl,
- Maintain voter strength when the vacancy is filled,

And, above all... Select the presidential nominee.

*As an Alternate, I do not get to vote on actual issues that would be listed on the RNC's agenda. However, I have a likely chance of being raised to a proper delegation position that would allow me to vote.*

Some information I'd like to disclose:

- Georgia is releasing 76 Delegates and 76 Alternates,
- Out of the 152 going, 2 actually come from my county (myself and a friend's father),
- Out of the 152, myself and 2 others will be the youngest to attend,

Now, some more information:

- Out of the 294 resumes picked an Alternate position, mine and 3 others were selected,
- Out of the 4 of us, 1,500 people were allowed to vote and I recieved nearly 1,200 of the vote,

  To think, that out of the near 10,000,000 people in the state of Georgia, the 159 counties that make up Georgia, and the 14 districts that divide Georgia; the fact that I was selected, a 19 year old Trump supporter from a rural county, shows that the odds can truly be in your favor.

Now, a little bit about me:

- I was an honors graduate from Rabun County High School,
- I played as an Offensive Lineman at RCHS for nearly three years,
- I shot Trap/Skeet competitively with the 4H Team for four years,
- I was Class President for three years,
- I was a legislative page to the 2014 Georgia General Assembly,
- The Co-Founder and Chairman of the Rabun County Teen Age Republicans,
- Former Candidate for the Post 1 Commissioner Election in Rabun County,
- Rabun County, 9th District, and State Delegate,
- Volunteer on the Matt Gurtler State House District 8 Campaign, 

 I've just finished getting my CORE classes at North Georgia Technical, and will be attending the University of West Georgia in the Fall of 2016 to pursue a major in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.
