Hello,
My name is Farra Moden and I am wanting to tell you about Courteney Foster and her family.
Courteney is 23 years old and recently been diagnosed with cancer it started in her pancreas and has unfortunately spread to her liver. The doctors have said it's really rare (That rare that they have even given it it's own name).
Imagine being told at the age of 23 that you have a rare terminal cancer and have weeks or even days to live... Her world literally came crashing down.
People who know her have seen how strong and how amazing she has been throughout the whole journey so far.. even after several surgeries and endless amount of needles.
Courteney has been told that it is terminal, when they first found out that it is cancer she was given weeks to live. She is undergoing chemo therapy and we will not know for a few weeks if this is taking an affect...
I am wanting to raise as much money as possible so Courteney and her family can worry less and enjoy time together making memories, without having to worry about money. Not only will the money raised be used for this it will also go towards Courteney's needs - Wigs and a Wheelchair etc.
As many people know Courteney and her sister Shorni was in the middle of a gap year travelling the world together. In January Courteney and Shorni was in Laos (Asia). After falling ill several times thinking it was the food they decided that it would be best for Courteney to come back to the UK to be checked out.
She was seen by a doctor and had her bloods taken and was told if her dizziness and sickness became worse to go to the hospital. As the weekend came Courteney was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital which she was then isolated due to salmonella, after weeks of treatment Courteney was deteriorating quickly. Eventually scans showed that there was abscess' in her pancreas and liver. On the 27th February the biopsies revealed that the abscess' were cancer.
Courteney didn't start her Chemo until the 2nd of April as they wasn't sure of what type of cancer it is. As we know that it is terminal the chemo is to help prolong her prognosis. (BUT MIRACLES CAN HAPPEN!!!!)
She has received so much love and support from her family and friends which is driving her to fight and hopefully will win this battle!
All I am asking for is if people can share and donate so we can get this as far and wide as possible. Even if it is just a £1 every penny helps for Courteney and her family to enjoy the time she has together.
