DANCE IN THE RAIN: a Whole Person Approach to Peer to Peer Mental Health NEEDS YOUR HELP!  They temporarily lost their main funding source due to issues unrelated to them or their performance.  I am trying to raise 6 months worth of rent for them, so they will not be forced to move, or worse--close their doors at this critical time for their clients.  Stability is important to this population.  You may have read or heard that a major mental health program serving the mid and lower Cape areas just closed their doors on very short notice.  Numerous beds, facilities, and programs for those suffering from depression and other debilitating mental health issues are severely lacking on Cape Cod.  Mary Munsell founded the 501 (C) 3 Dance in the Rain a few years ago, and now she serves over 300 clients, and sometimes meets as many as 20 NEW clients per week!  The demand is there, and her programs are responsive to this demand.  The people she serves are our neighbors and co-workers.  Mary is very proactive and is working on grant writing and networking.  There are only so many hours in a day, and she does not have "staff" to run the operations for her.  Every hour she spends on operations is one less hour spent with a person who really needs her help.  You may ask why I'm doing this.  It's because I worked with her Dad for many years on a volunteer board, and learned of Mary's struggles (at the time).  The fact that she has turned her demons into positive productive work for the benefit of others so they won't have to experience what she did in the past is a noble and worthy endeavor...and best of all, she is successful at what she is doing.  DANCE IN THE RAIN is filling a much needed gap in the mental health system in the mid-Cape area.  I hope you will join me and help keep their doors open.  
This is really why I'm doing this: Because to be a human being is to try and do what your conscience is telling you is right.
And my conscience is telling me this is the right thing to do.  Will you join me?
