Make Billing 4 FusionPBX Opensource
Hi, my name is Luis,
In 2014 I was laid off from my job. It was a very difficult time which I won't talk about. With a lot of free time on my hands and bad luck in finding a new occupation, I decided to invest in something useful. I decided to code Billing for FusionPBX.
Since then, I have gotten many requests for opening the source or a one-time license payment. But since this piece of software is money related, I think it is fair to ask for investment for 6 months in the development of this project
When the goal is reached, the source of Billing for FusionPBX will be published on Github. at https://github.com/OKayMX/billing-for-fusionpbx . Source code will be released under license MPL 2.0.
The money will be used to support me adding new capabilities to the new open source and try to recover from that economic lapse.
In order to stimulate this funding, those who contribute with 300 CAD or more, they will get 1 license valid for one server that will not expire until this funding goal is reached. (Billing license is worth 49.99 USD ( ~ 62.69 CAD) per server monthly, I think it is a pretty good deal, see it as a 1-time license). At the end of this funding, you will be able to upgrade to the open source code without any issues. Please note that license now includes all the developed payment plugins, so far Paypal, Stripe and Offline.
Please do not hesitate on sharing this campaign, or contacting me for questions/comments
UPDATE: Second challenge, you can read about it at http://inside-out.xyz/technology/second-challenge-billing-for-fusionpbx-funding-challenge-goal-goes-55-35-down.html
After the new year, the founding original goal will return.
By mistake, when I was writing this, I found I sent USD instead of CAD (funding is done in CAD). So I sent 151.81 USD, equivalent to 203.26 CAD. I just want to keep all clear in this funding.
By the way, Billing for FusionPBX 1.1.0 is about to be released. There are new capabilities such as pseudo enum support, many bug fixes and better compatibility with FusionPBX 4.2.
