Observatory domes repairs

Observatory Halley can be found in Vinkel, a small village in the mid-south of the Netherlands. We are an amateur astronomical observatory, teaching the general public and kids about the universe. Every other week on friday evening we welcome anyone who is interested in astronomy. Our fees are modest and the whole observatory runs on volunteering members of the observatory club. Since we want the barrier to visit our observatory to be as low as possible, our entrance fee is only € 5,-. The costs of maintaining the building and the premises are quite high. The combined revenue from visitor fees and club memberships make the year's financial balance break even every year. In other words, we never make profit. The observatory was build in 1987. In more than 30 years time some mechanical parts of the domes which house the telescopes need replacement. We are looking to raise € 1600,- for this goal.
