Grant's Group Home Needs

Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of my family... For those that don't know, my 19 year old brother Grant, lived in a group home in the Rowlett area. Sadly, the home was completley destroyed.
So many of our friends and neighboors have been affected by the recent tornados that ripped through Garland and Rowlett areas.  Never would I have thought that  I would be directly affected, but here we are.

Grant has austism as well as his 2 other male roommates.  None of them can completley grasp what has happened.  Austistic individuals crave routine and stability, and the aftermath of this event is far from routine. These boys will never be able to care for themselves on their own. They will always need supervision and round the clock care.  Berry Family Services is already hard at work and has found a new home for a 3 of these boys to move into.  Moving is very hard on them, especially when nothing is familiar....Starting all over.

Luckily Grant was still home with my parents for the holidays when the storm hit, but the other two boys, along with 2 caregivers hid in a closet terrified as the roof was ripped off their home.
There are many needs right now for this community, and I understand that I am one more person asking for help. Whatever money raised on this site will go directly to these kids to help replace all that was lost.  Mattresses, socks, clothing, sheets, household items, etc. They really didn't have much to begin with, but what they had meant everything to them.  The funds off this site will also go to help the 2 caregivers who lost their vehicles durning the storm.  They stayed with these boys, apart from their own families, as they were pulled out of the home, scared and confused.

Anything you can give will be much appreciated.  Again, there are so many hurt out there- so I know I am asking a lot.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
