Magi's Emergency Recovery Fund

6 month old Magi was run over by a car in front of our house on the morning of October 2nd.  Miraculously he survived this head on accident, but it shattered part of his lower spine.   This left his spinal cord severely compressed and severed some of the nerves going to his back legs.   He had to go into emergency spinal surgery not only to survive, but hopefully to walk again.   The Neurologist that performed his surgery spent 9 diligent hours repairing his spinal cord, fusing his vertebrae, and reattaching the severed nerves.  He said this was one of the most complicated and difficult surgeries he has ever done. 

The surgery and hospital time alone has already reached $13,000.

Magi has a long road to recovery ahead with the likelihood of walking again uncertain.  

This special creature is a puppy who has just begun his life.  Now that he gets to come home we want to do everything in our power to help him heal,  so he can walk, run, and play again....ultimately to live the life that this wild breed deserves.  

The next 8 weeks of recovery will be critical for his success.  
Beyond the medical expenses,  supporting his recovery is going to be a full time job consisting of around the clock care, physical therapy, and alternative therapies......plus medications and regenerative supplements.   This means that I will need to completely change and minimize my entire work schedule in order to care for him.   This is something I want to do and need support in. 

Animals have so much to offer us, and Magi has brought a tremendous amount of positive change into our life.   He is truly an integral part of our family and life wouldn't be the same without this little guy.
