Quality of Life Project: A FluxCar!

Don protégé

Simply put, I need a car. A car will change my life, make even the best things about it better in every way.

I've tried to save the money myself through jewelry sales, but it all ends up going to food, bills, and necessary jewelry supplies. I need *your* help to make this happen!

I'm sure it seems like something so small & inconsequential to many, but to me & the passion in which I live my life, it would mean *everything* would change for the better!

These are just *some* of the ways my life - and that of my pup, the one who brings me such joy and happiness, would benefit:

*  A car will help me get all the gear – tables, displays, lights, and everything else to shows & events where I can vend my hand-crafted jewelry, helping me support myself, grow my business, and become entirely self-sufficient! It will also enable me to consign my work at good stores more easily, getting it there as well as frequently checking if they need more. They will. ;-)

People *love* my work and it makes them happy, but it needs to be seen! My website helps, but not enough.

*  A car will let me escape the unforgiving brutality of the sidewalks & the noise of the City, to get away and simply sit quietly in that green stuff called “nature”.

*Me, just outside of Austin TX, Oct/Nov, 2005*

It will enable me to visit my Birth Mother, who lives only 2.5 hours away through a gorgeous mountain pass in a tinly little town called Philo, in Mendocino County. I’ve seen her only four times in the three years since I’ve found her - after a 25 year search. She doesn’t answer her phone, doesn’t do email, and is lousy at communicating – except face-to-face. She just works & comes home, and wants to get out more. I could do that for her. With her. This photo was taken in the 1st 10 minutes of us meeting each other for the first time. (Well - second, I guess, but I don't really remember the first. My Mother ROCKS!

*A car will allow me to take my 85lb. dog to the beach anytime we want, take her to the mountains or coast or anywhere & let her truly experience being a dog. My apartment is tiny, and while I walk her to parks often, it’s far from the same thing, the same smells & beauty & wild exploring as a quiet & wide open spaces only accessible by a car can give her.

Isn't she the most adorable beast? Please donate!

*A car would inspire my writing. I’ve always done my best writing on the road, letting my true nature – that of the driver, the wanderer, shine through.

(Lots of writing, from back in 2005. Driving from San Francisco, Volunteering for a Katrina refugee camp in Austin (& getting there), moving to New Orleans, the magic, adversity, & beauty of uncertainty on The Road...)

*It would make it easier to get to the frequent Dr, appointments I have – and I’m certain that just being able to get out of the city would also do wonders for my health as well. (If you have questions about my health & why I need to go to the Dr. so often, please ask! I'll be happy to answer anything.)

*I could help friends & others by getting them where they need to go, and visit others who can’t go anywhere. I could be there for them, and physically – not just in words.

I wrote this just a couple days ago: It explains it all -  in a different way: (Please Read. It's not bad!)  https://kseaflux.wordpress.com/2017/07/12/to-go/

Being able to get a car would mean worlds to me, as you can hopefully understand. I will be more grateful than I could *ever* express - though I sure will try to!

All donations I receive would go directly to the car & making it legal - I promise not to spend *any* on chainmaille jewelry making supplies or anything else not related. (Except for food if it's *absolutely* necessary.)

I've been searching sale ads, and for a reliable vehicle in decent shape, including registration, & insurance, I can be on the road for around $4,300, all said & done.  I used to be a mechanic (& always will be), so know what to look for in a used vehicle - and I know how not to get screwed.

I am hoping to have at least *close* to that that amount within one month from when this campaign goes live, so please donate now! The quicker I get the car, the more places I'll be able to vend & *add* to the total! (After food, bills, and the other things that have been preventing me from saving.)

I have a handicap placard so that *really* helps avoid parking tickets in the city. With the increase in jewelry sales that a car would bring, I am planning on renting a garage space to keep the car safe, as soon as the income is consistent & reliable.

Please, PLEASE help me feel the freedom of having a car again by donating as much as you can afford, and share this campaign everywhere!

With all of my heart, Thank You SO incredibly much for helping bring back the soul of this incurable wanderer - you're doing a beautiful thing.
