Monday, March 11. 2019, my mom was admitted into the hospital with pneumonia.
Early Tuesday morning she took a turn for the worse and had to be intubated. (60/40)
She was transferred to Tyler Tuesday evening to a bigger hospital.
Wednesday morning I met with the doctor and he let us know know her case was very serious and she very critical and it could go either way. He assured us he was doing everything he could to help her and that the next 24 hour would be the milestone.
We made through the day.
She had a rough night, do to aggressive respiratory treatments.
They had to contact the doctor numerous times to get her all settled it, which was around 2 AM.
Thursday morning, I met with the doctor he told me all her other organs look good her vitals are good her gases but
She is still very critical and the X-ray are very bad.
The next 24 hour milestone, she can go either way.
Thursday evening- we made it through the day
Respiratory made adjustments to her vent today to help work with her instead of against her.
Sunday evening update(URGENT PRAYER REQUEST)
My mom had a good day, she is absorbing all of her feeding now.
Everything is getting better but her lungs.
Dr said this evening on the CT from this morning that what he is seeing is not fluid and not infection.
So in the morning she will have a Bronchoscopy.( scope with camera in side the lungs thru vent to see what is going on from the inside.
This will determine her next treatment plan.
She is still considered very critical.
We are on day 7 now in ICU.
Family is traveling from out of town and it is becoming very expensive these funds will allow them to focus on their mom/nana instead of financial burden.
The funds raised will be used to help the family with travel, hotel, meals, etc. With the remain balance to got toward her medical bills.
