MAESTRO does Five 5K's for Regina in 24 hours

My name is Shane Farrell. I am married with four children.
For the last decade ,I have struggled with my weight. During my teenage years ,I developed medical problems with my kidneys and it will continue to be a lifelong condition for me. This has resulted in me staying in hospital for long periods, having numerous surgeries/treatment and in general being too unwell to be exercising.
Five years ago, I started this challenge weighing my heaviest at 24 stone 4 pounds….enough was enough and it was time to do something about it. I lost 5 stone and took on challenges along the way whilst raising money for charities.
Lately ,I have been back to old habits ….excuses, excuses….. and more excuses!!
January 9th 2017, I weighed 20 stone. I got back into this challenge again to work my ass off to reach that golden number 14 stone on the scales. It may take me years, but I will see it through.
I am going to plan different challenges along the way and try to raise much-needed funds.

Maestro’s FIVE 5K's in 24 hours for Regina
Regina is currently battling cancer. Unfortunately, Regina’s cancer is rare and difficult to treat. Her only chance of a successful outcome was to seek treatment abroad, which is what brought her to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. The world leaders in her cancer are based there and are currently engaged in research and developing new treatments.
