This year has been a very tough year for me and my daughter. I lost my job and my home and now stay in a weekly hotel. I am days away from being homeless even now.
Along with all this, my ex-wife thought it would be a good idea to take my 8 year old daughter and move to Florida with a man who is a virtual stranger.
Yes, I know I can file charges of parental kidnapping against my ex-wife but I really don't want to turn everything into a giant circus.
My daughter is my life. Everyday feels like my breath has been taken from my body and I miss her dearly.
I am starting this campaign for 3 reasons.
1. I would like to get a new suit or at least have my old one tailored so that it will fit properly since I have lost a lot of weight.I would like to look appropriate when looking for work.
2. I would like to beable to pay for a lawyer to at least be able to assert my rights as a father and figure out a custody agreement in writing.
3. I have looked into re-locating to Florida to be closer to my daughter. I miss her and she misses me. I was her father everyday for over 8 years and now suddenly she's 3000 miles away. I need to be close to her again. For her sake and for mine. I think that being close to her and her having her father in her life is the most important thing.
I have already lost my daughter, my home, my job and I am about to lose everything I own because I can't afford the storage fees and all I am looking for is a helping hand to get back on my feet. I read articles about people collectively donating up to $50,000 for a documentary on potato salad so I don't think that I am asking for much. I want to work and be able to pay my bills and be a father to my daughter.
