Dear Friends,

Michelle (Conner) Coyne and Mark Coyne tragically lost their beautiful 8- year old daughter, Mackenzie, to an unexpected illness this past Sunday, February 14.

The Coynes are relatively new to Park City and will be traveling back and forth to their hometown of Kansas City. In addition, they plan to build a memorial where people can come to visit.  Any support you can give to lessen this financial burden will be greatly  appreciated.

Mackenzie was a bright, happy, fun-loving second grader who loved her teachers and all her new friends at Trailside Elementary School. She leaves behind a sister, Madison, 9, a little brother, Mason, 5, and a whole network of family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Please join us in support of the family at a memorial service followed by a reception:

Thank you to those friends, family and colleagues that have supported us after the sudden loss of our daughter, Mackenzie Coyne, on February 14, 2016. We received Mackenzie's cause of death. She died from Influenza A H1N1 2009 virus. No other cause of death was found. Mackenzie received her flu vaccine in November 2015 from a nasal Flumist. The same strain of the flu that she was diagnosed with was in the vaccination this year. Flumist was told to be the most effective flu vaccination for our children by our health care professionals. However, last Wednesday, the CDC reported that the Flumist vaccination has been ineffective for the last several years. We are devastated to hear this news. Please continue to send texts, pictures, and prayers. We love all the support and it helps us keep going day to day. Love, Michelle and Mark

It's so hard to believe it has been 6 weeks since Mackenzie passed away. We are so appreciative for all the love and support from friends near and far. We love all the cards, messages, texts, emails and words of encouragement. Everything has been so overwhelming, but support is what is keeping us going. Thank you.
We are looking into many ideas for possible memorials for our sweet little girl. We definitely would like a place where we can go in Park City to remember her- possibly something related to skiing which she loved or a special hiking or biking trail. Mackenzie also loved Deanna Rose in Overland Park, so we would like to possibly do something there as well. We are also thinking about a reoccurring scholarship for others that love animals like she did. Thanks to the overwhelming support we will be able to do some amazing things for her.
Love, Michelle and Mark

Again, thank you so much to everyone who is contributing. It's an amazing thing to see people rally so quickly to help this wonderful family. KPCW (in Park City) ran a story on Mackenzie. Give a listen and keep sharing. xo

Hello Michelle, my condolensces to you and your Family for Mackenzie Coyne of Utah. I am sorry to hear that MEGA DOSE Vitamin-C was NOT used to save her life...see 60 Minutes story on Mr Alan Smith of New Zealand who was saved in 2009 from deadly Swine Flu by simply using MEGA DOSE IV Vitamin-C. If you like I can give you links to the story.... Peace... Love and Light

We think about you every day and pray that someday you can sense peace and healing from this sorrowful event. She was truly a beloved child! A close friend of ours has also suffered a terrible loss in 2007. Their family has raised over $200,000. They have had much experience in using this $ to remember their son's spirit. If you would like to communicate with them, they are happy to share some of the things they have done with these funds. You would like Susie and Jon Kreusch very much. Let us know how you are doing. With our love, Dayton Coynes
