Tragedy always seems distant. You know it's there, but we tend to ignore it, until it's staring directly back at you. And until it happens to someone you truly love and care about, it's almost impossible to comprehend. The experience becomes personal, and time does not slow down to wait for you to catch up. It feels more like you are walking through a hazy nightmare, instead of life itself.
That is how I felt this afternoon when my best friend informed me that a tumor was discovered in the brain of his 7 month old daughter Maci. I can only imagine the grief, confusion, frustration, and outright anger both Josh and Brooke are feeling right now.
On top of the overwhelming pain and worry they are experiencing for their daughter, there is a looming medical bill waiting for them.
This is why we are wanting to rally around them and not only send them an innumerable amount of prayers, but also provide them with financial support, so they can focus exclusively on bringing their little girl back home.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 and we would greatly appreciate your help.
