In September 2018 it was discovered that a Douglas County Nevada senior citizen had been scammed thousands of dollars over wire services. A criminal report was made, however foreign suspects in other countries make it difficult for prosecution and recovery of funds. Our senior citizen is in financial straits, near foreclosure and future termination of utilities.
Social Services is being utilized, and other agencies are working cooperatively to assist the senior.
We want to keep the senior from being homeless, and want to preserve the dignity of this person. An attorney, Cassandra Jones has agreed to assist him pro bono, and he is so grateful.
