 SIOUX CITY, IA
Shane was involved in a tragic incident at a grain elevator in Hinton, IA, on March 17th, and was severely injured. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City and then later transported to a hospital in Omaha. He sustained multiple degrees of burns on his body and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Shane’s family and girlfriend are spread out between Sioux City and Minneapolis, and will likely be doing a lot of traveling in the coming weeks and months to be with him. This can cause a huge financial burden on families so this fund has been set up in the hopes that that burden can be somewhat alleviated. All proceeds will go directly to them to help cover costs and to be used at their discretion in this time of need.

The goal is $5,000 but, this is a moving target and I am hopeful we can get well above that mark.

All donations, big or small, will be very much appreciated!

I know you don't know me, but I am from cherokee. I was treated in the same hospital you are in for my burn injuries and have been treated there for almost 13 years now. You have one of the best doctors anyone could ask for! I know it's hard right now. If you ever need to talk, or anything, shoot me a message and I'll be here for you. I know what it's like to be a burn survivor, was burned on 43% of my body at age four. So I have been in his shoes. I will be support in a way many cant. I also encourage you and your family to check out, www.phoenix-society.org, they offer many things for burn survivors and families. I know things are probably very touch and go right now but stay postive and it will be okay. GOD bless you and your whole family! Message me any time you need to talk or need help.
