Help Wyatt Kick Cancer

Wyatt is a family friend of mine, my parents have known the Klute's ever since I can remember. Both of our families grew up around the sport of hockey, and through that, we grew up around one another. Recently I had started coaching a youth lacrosse team, an eigth grade team, a team which Wyatt may have played on had he not begun his battle with cancer. For sometime now I've been watching others support and help the Klute family through their journey, and for much of that time I had been wondering where I could contribute. Finally, I think I found where I fit. I have signed up to do Ironman Wisconsin, and I am honored to participate in Wyatt's name. Ironman is a triathlon, which consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run for a total of 140.6 miles. All of which is completed within a 17 hour time frame. I'm hoping that through my journey, I am able to raise money in an effort to aid Wyatt and his family with medical bills, as well as inspire others, the way Wyatt has inspired me. My goal is to raise $14,060, 100 dollars for every mile I cover on raceday. You may want to donate a dime for every mile I cover, or whatever your heart desires. All proceeds will go directly to the Klute family. Today this amount seems enourmous, but in the words of my Father, "You can fail at what you don't want, why not go for a lofty goal?"
