Baton Rouge flood victims are still desperate for volunteers, money and supplies as of August 26th, and will need help for a long time.
Alyssa and Sarah are coworkers and great friends from New York City who often get told that we're too nice for our own good. We strongly believe that nice guys do not finish last and still encourage each other to be the best versions of ourselves everyday.
While we had original plans of driving to Baton Rouge over Labor Day weekend, we realize that logistically, this is not very realistic. We appreciate the support of our friends and family and all of the contributions made. We realize that sending the funds directly to those in need is much more important and useful than less than 2 days of volunteer work. However, we do plan to spend the weekend in West Virginia doing similar volunteer work in a town that is in need of our help rebuilding due to equally as devastating floods.
About Us and this Campaign:
1. Sarah and Alyssa are friends and coworkers that livein Brooklyn, New York.
2. We are raising money to purchase school supplies and clothes for the children in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas in Louisiana that have been effected by flooding.
3. All money riased is going directly to the Gulf Coast Floods Children's Relief Fund .
4. On Monday, Septemebr 6, 2016, we will withdraw the funds and donate them directly online to this website.
