First day of Chemotherapy - November 16, 2016On 10/26/16 my sister, Lynette Bazzill, was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer known as Aggressive Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, which is an extremely fast growing cancer.
Lynette's just begun an aggressive treatment regime which has started with 3 - 4 months of chemotherapy followed by a mastectomy and 30+ days of radiation.
My name is Jodette Wilmot and Lynette is my sister. She is the oldest of my siblings and she is our family rock. I could not ask for a more selfless and loving sister and best friend.
Lynette is a massage therapist and a life coach who has helped countless people throughout her career. She is a truly remarkable human being. Most people walk through the forest while Lynette sits atop the trees. She has shared her remarkable love and insight with so many who have truly needed help and guidance. Lynette has always put everyone else's needs before her own. Now she needs our help!
It will take Lynette at least a year to recover from treatments and surgery, during which time she will be able to work very little. My family and I appreciate any gift you are able to provide in order to help Lynette through this difficult time. A year and a half ago, Lynette found a small lump in her breast. She was sent for two separate mammograms and neither identified an issue. A couple of months ago she realized that the lump had started to grow quickly and went back to the doctor. After another mammogram and a 3D mammogram found nothing, she was sent for an ultrasound which clearly showed a mass as large as a smashed orange and the resulting biopsy identified it as cancer.
The reason that the mammograms did not reveal the mass is because of breast density. More information on density can be found at www.areyoudense.org. Please help spread the word.
