Luna's Lifeline

Luna is a Black Lab Mix rescue from South Carolina. We adopted her when she was 4 1/2 months old in May of 2017. She is the first pet we have ever owned. She is now 19 months old and in a battle for her life with an unknown illness. Her red blood cells and her platelets are not replenishing. She has already had 2 blood transfusions, x-rays, ultrasounds, many blood tests, and a bone marrow test, all within 2 days. Luna barely was eating and had no energy.  When brought her to her vet and they referred us to the Animal Hospital 1/2 hour 45 minutes away.  When we got to the animal hospital they had gotten the information from the vet.  She was very anemic and that concerned them all.  They admitted her and started her first blood transfusion.  Her blood cell count should be at 40%, but is only at 15-20%.  The doctors haven't been able to figure out what is causing them to diminish.  We have already paid out over $3,000.00 and don't know how much more will be needed for additional tests and medications.  She is only a puppy and has a full life ahead of her if we can figure this out. Our house has been to quiet without her here.  We really want her back home to make our family whole again.   She is the love of our lives and we can't image her not being apart of our family.
