Lucy Barnes (Tincup) vs. Hurricane

Hi everyone,

I am here to request help for Lucy Barnes (aka Tincup /TC-  AfterTheBite ), a dear friend of ours and one of the nation's long time volunteer Lyme educators , support group leaders and patient advocates. TC has always been there for all of us and now she is in need.

Recently Hurricane Irma destroyed TC’s only residence, a small camper in central Florida.  She is currently displaced and is struggling to do clean up and make repairs.  The repairs needed are quite extensive and are explained at the link below, along with updates. https://sites.google.com/site/floridalyme/hurricane-irma?pli=1  
 
The continuing on/off rain, roads in need of repair and daily flooding coming from nearby rivers are adding to the problems for TC and those in the local area.  Contractors are few and far between because so many homes were damaged.

For over three decades TC has been there for those in the Lyme disease community and I am asking that you please be there for her now.  I will be fund raising and collecting donations that are needed for her to make necessary repairs because she is on disability and has no other resources.  

To assit me with these efforts, Mr J. Beck will be assisting Lucy's campaign with handling the money donated.  Mr. Beck, will receive all withdrawals from the campaign in his name, and will be responsible for having the funds deposited into a bank account held by Lucy/TC to use for needed repairs and supplies, outside of GoFundMe.  Mr. Beck is happy to help as he is a close family friend and helps Lucy on occasion with financial matters.

We need TC to be able to live in a stable environment so we can get her back to doing her volunteer work of helping all of us, especially the children who have chronic Lyme and tick borne diseases. We will both share updates as the campaign progresses.
