Hello! I am Luca Manning, a 19 year old Jazz Vocalist and Composer originally from Glasgow, Scotland but now based in London.
I have been accepted onto the 2018 Brubeck Institute summer jazz colony. I am one of just three UK students who were chosen, with 24 students participating worldwide.
I need to raise some funds (by early August) to cover return flights and course costs.
Taking part in this prestigious course will allow me to expand my knowledge of my art form and will push me to learn new things and take new opportunities. I am really excited about travelling to San Fransisco and meet other young musicians from all over the world.
I am currently studying Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and have just finished my first year. I have been lucky enough to play in various venues around the UK including Ronnie Scott's (London) where I had the honour of singing alongside Liane Carroll at her sold-out Christmas show. I also recently won the 'Rising Star' award at the Scottish Jazz Awards which I was incredible humbled to receive.
