Paralyzed from strangulation

TaCreshia is a regular 28yr old but she doesn't live an ordinary life of a 28yr old because on October 23rd 2010 her whole world was turned upside down. About a month after my daughter's 21st birthday she was attacked by an ex boyfriend. She ended her relationship with him and he came back to her house and choked her from behind for 25 minutes (in front of her then 4yr old and 2yr old daughters). As a result of that her neck was broken. She went through several life threatening surgeries and procedures and was in a coma for two months. Having not a clue as to what happened to her she woke up not being able to move anything but her eyes, she was devastated. She spent a month and a half in reheb after she woke up. She had never been in any domestic altercation with him or anybody else before this, he just snapped! Rejection turned into reaction. Since then it's been extremely hard for her and our family. She's now a C4 quadriplegic so she has limited movement in only her arms and require 24hr care. I quit my job to take care of her full-time. On top of that i have five sons, four of which are younger than her. Her dad and stepmom takes care of her daughters (Nevaeh'Rain 11yrs old and Rae'gan 10yrs old). When she got hurt i lost my house so me and her brothers had to move in her 3 bedroom house with her. The past seven years has also been very challenging from all the therapy, doctors appointments, hospital stays, and just trying to put daughter's and my family's lives back to together. When i moved in with her i lost most of my things and what little i have left has been stuck in storage because of finances. She doesn't get out much, she literally leaves the house by stretcher only to go to the hospital and Dr's appointments. We don't have a lift van so she's basically stuck at home all the time. Everything makes this situation more frustrating not living in a wheelchair accessible home, not having around the clock care, or not having proper transportation that a quadriplegic needs so ANYTHING HELPS. Being in this situation you can easily lose faith and pretty much sight of everything but it's made her a stronger person. Even on her worse days she has a positive outlook. Her daughters keep her going, she'll never let them down. She loves her babies dearly and i love my baby dearly, she truly is my hero. I want to help her get her story out to women because it only takes 1 time, 1 time that could change your whole life.
