LPCC helps Laramie Foster Closet

The Laramie Plains Civic Center Foundation (a registered 501(c)3) is raising funds to rehabilitate a room for the Laramie Foster Closet! One of our main missions is to provide safe, clean, and affordable spaces to local nonprofits. Currently, the LPCC is home to 23 nonprofits and as well as a thriving arts community. A complete list of our tenants can be found on our website www.lpccwy.org.

This project will directly impact local foster families and the foster children in their care. The Laramie Foster Closet provides clothing and essential items for FREE. Currently, they are functioning out of a shipping container and storage unit without heat. Being in the LPCC will mean these families have access to this service in one warm, safe place.

Donations will go directly toward our goal of providing them with a home here. This project requires purchasing a new heater, installing a ceiling and lights, and painting the walls. In addition, we will be providing them with a second space for storage of their larger items (mattresses, beds, car seats, etc). 

The timeline for this project is short! We need to have the new room ready by March 1, 2018 - the one-year anniversary of the Laramie Foster Closet.
