Making precious time for Naomi

Donation protected
Sometimes we get reminded how precious life is! Unfortunately sometimes it takes shattering news to realise just how precious.

My brother Mark and his gorgeous wife Naomi are high school sweet hearts. Left school, got married and worked hard to get their dream jobs. Mark a policeman and Naomi a nurse. Both love working with people and relish their respected roles  in their local Hamilton community by helping others.

They are blessed with 4 beautiful children. Abbey 16, Riley 13 and 6 year old twins, Matilda and Hamish.  Life was amazing for them!  Their little family works hard and like all of us, hold aspirations of many adventures together as a family in the future.

However they have just recieved the crushing news that no family ever wants to receive.  Naomi, 42, has been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer.

After a whirlwind of appointments and testing and a recent visit to Peter Mac, Naomi has been told there is no viable treatment for her. They held onto the hope that a Trial Treatment may have prolonged life for her but DNA results have shown she is not compatible.  Naomi will now undergo Auto Immune Therapy in Warrnambool in the hope to sustain liver function and give Naomi the best chance to spend time with her family.

This sudden and heart breaking news for the family has left us all devastated.  While they process what life is about to become for them, I'm on a quest to ease some of the daily financial pressure life for a family of 6 brings.

After spending the afternoon sobbing together today it was very clear to me of one thing, Naomi adores Mark and her children.  We spoke about how time is precious and like all mothers, her only wish is to spend the little time she has left with her family creating memories.

This is where I need this amazing community of ours to rally.  I ask you all for a huge favour. If you are able to offer financial support, could you please donate towards supporting Mark, Naomi and their children so the stress of finances is eased and they can focus on their little family.

While we are all feeling helpless to change the diagnosis we can give them the greatest gift of all, the freedom to make memories together.

Every little bit helps....... this gorgeous family is going to need all the love and support we can offer them at this time in their life..... please
