LOVE FOR NEPAL 2015

Donation protected
Dear Potential Donor,

As you already know, my sister Ajouka was in Nepal on April 25th during the earthquake and we were all able to join and raise over $5000 to provide food, clothing, medical supplies and necessities for the earthquake survivors in Nepal during the crisis. We thank everyone who has donated. It has made a significant difference.

Currently, I am in Nepal to advocate the impact of natural disaster on mental health and reduce the stigma of mental health and illness in the community so that the disaster-victims will seek help and learn how to cope with disaster and traumatic stress. Although the earthquake has been over, there are still aftershocks in Nepal. Not only the aftershocks but also other traumatic reminders such as loss of loved ones, loss of homes and possessions, shortage of food and water, school closures, and health problems can bring on distressing mental images, thoughts, and emotional/physical reactions. Children and their families are among the most affected.

Many of children's schools in remote areas were completely destroyed and families had to move into Kathmandu. The classes are extremely overcrowded and the resources for school supplies are scarce. With your help we can rebuild the children's educations by providing them with pens, papers, notebooks and other school supplies.

Additionally, there's a significant number of children who have lost their parents and are in orphans now. With many orphanages also destroyed by the earthquake, they too face the same harsh position as the schools. With your generosity, the money raised will help supply sporting equipment such as tennis balls, badminton, volleyballs and football. Physical activities will greatly help these children relieve tension and anxiety during stressful times. The ultimate goal is to aid these children to overcome the psychological stress they are currently facing from the disaster.

Once again, we are asking all of you generous souls to come together and make a difference. With your help, we will be able to decrease and prevent long-term adverse psychological effects such as post-traumatic stress and other psychological disorders related to the devastating earthquake in Nepal.

LOVE NEPAL 2015 is a charity fund based out of Brampton, Ontario Canada with a 100% aim to help with medical assistance for Nepal earthquake survivors and help rebuild the community.
