In Aid of April

Donation protected
This beautiful little girl is my niece April. She will be three years old in just under 2 weeks.

April is a very bright light in an ever darkening world and she is very special to a lot of people. April is very sick at the minute.

Only a week ago my sister Katie took April to the hospital to have her face checked out as it was swollen. After several tests and being checked in to a room they received the shocking news that April had neuroblastoma cancer. There were tumours in 3 different places.

This news broke a lot of good hearts as you can imagine.

The support April, her mam and dad and the family has received over the past week is so overwhelming. Everyone is truly grateful for your words and efforts.

Today April started her treatment at Crumlin Childrens Hospital. It is the beginning of a long and upsetting road for all involved and especially little April with her birthday and Christmas coming.

My sister and Aprils dad are such genuine honest hardworking people and inspirational parents. With what has happened and the road ahead they will be unable to work as Katie is a student and a travel agent and Grahame runs his own business.

Many people around the community of North Dublin have set up fundraising events to raise money in Aid of April. There is a football match happening between WitnessFit and TNDO, there is a benefit night, I've heard a waxathon is also happening.

The positive energy and thinking coming from everyone is so uplifting that smiles are making their appearances again on our faces. The spirits are high and with everyone's help they will remain high.

It almost feels wrong like I am asking people for money but I just set this up because there were people asking if they could donate online to support April, Katie and Grahame through this terrible time and the tough road ahead.
So if anyone wants to donate to any of the fundraising that's going on but wishes to do it online your support is greatly appreciated and your love won't be forgotten.

Together and with positive thinking we will all get April to full health again and she will go on to inspire.
