Blindsided: Help Randy and Linda

Randy and Linda Smith, parents of 3 grown sons and long-time art conservators, were blindsided when Randy needed emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer and then suffered a stroke in the operating room. He remains in the critical care unit and has lost use of his right side. Unfortunately Randy's recovery will be long, and if his right arm doesn't recover the business is at tremendous risk--he and Linda each have a distinctive skill set and she  is unequipped to perform his technical role.  In the shorter term, Linda is unable to work while Randy is in the hospital, and many bills need paying--oil to heat their Vermont house, the mortgage, insurance, groceries,  utilities, college and credit card debt,  etc. And it’s that scary time of year for the self-employed—large tax bill looming! This couple has given of  themselves in so many ways,  showing kindness to so many  (including  contributions to several others in need on GoFundMe and similiar sites) and doing what they can to help their kids out. Every bit helps; thanks for any help you can give.
