Love a Lunch Lady

Remember those people during school lunch who helped you jam your straw into your juicebox because you couldn't quite manage it? Or the ones who unscrewed your Thermos so you could have your soup with your sandwich? And they made sure you had a napkin every time.
At our school we have an angel who is there not only for the kids but also the staff. She shows up on those days when the students have packed nothing but Halloween candy for their lunch. If you are a teacher, you know that makes for a long day. If you are a parent, please know that she had your child eat his or her sandwich first before all the candy.

Regardless of your role, Mary is someone you should know. In November she lost her husband of over 30 years suddenly. That day, she still came to school because she wanted to make sure that the students would be taken care of and that the staff wouldn't worry when she missed her first day ever. 

Because of her caring nature, love of others and sudden turn of events, we are asking for some help to let Mary think of herself for once rather than everyone around her.  

Mary will have the funds available to her to use for bills, mortgage and the day-to-day things some of us are lucky enough to be able to cover without a thought.
