Lounette Cox fights cancer

Donation protected
For the past three years I have had the privilege to work beside the beautiful Lounette Cox. She is my educational assistant in our integrated preschool classroom in Euclid Ohio. Last year she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. With the help of radiation and the power of prayer, she and her family were able to appreciate a few months of cancer free life. Unfortunately, the celebration was short lived. On January 18, 2017, Lounette received the diagnosis that the triple negative breast cancer has come back with a vengeance. A biopsy revealed that the breast cancer has aggressively spread to her liver and bones and currently she is in stage 4. Lounette lives in a great deal of crippling pain with very little medical assistance for pain management. She continues to miss a great deal of work due to pain and doctor appointments.

For the past 26 years Lounette has lived in Euclid Ohio with her husband Wayne and their 25 year old daughter and 21 year old son. The cox family shares their home with Lounette’s 86 year old mother as well. She has served families in Euclid for the past 9 years as an educational assistant in the Euclid School District. Lounette is a master of her craft and highly respected throughout our district. She has been blessed with an innate talent for caring for children with special needs and is an asset to the families of Euclid.

In addition to her work and family, Lounette is dedicated to her role as First Lady at the Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church where her husband Wayne Cox serves as the pastor. Lounette Cox in no small way embodies what we learn in Proverbs 3:5-6;

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Lounette has taught me, and countless people around her about what it truly means to walk with God. I have never met a gentler soul whose faith is unwavering. In light of her current health needs and the tireless work her family is doing to take care of Lounette I am asking anyone who is willing to please donate to this Go Fund me. Any donation would be greatly appreciated to help with incurring the Cox family’s financial burden and medical costs.
