Heros for Louisa Rodriguez

In December 2008, Louisa was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma. She was just 29 years old. She was very fortunate and had the cancer removed from her leg and lymph node.  Doctors at that time had no cure for this horrible disease.  They offered to put her in a clinical trial but knew that the treatments she would be taking would not be helping instead putting her at risk for other illnesses.  At that time the doctors said she had a life expectancy of 5 years and probably would not bear any children.
Louisa went on living a cancer free life for 11 years.  In 2010 she gave birth to her amazing son Louis.
On Friday,  October 25, 2019, aa Louisa started have some weird and painful chest pain. Despite her pains.  She celebrated Louis birthday that weekend.   She tried taking an over the counter pain reliever thinking maybe she pulled a muscle.  If you know Louisa, she never takes Any Meds for Anything.   Always herbal and holistic to fight colds or anything else that might have been bothering her.
On Monday October 28th,  she got the pain again really bad and left her job to go to an urgent care.  After visiting two facilities, she was finally able to see a great doctor who gave her a shot for the pain.
She also sent Louisa for a Chest Xray.  The Xray showed a mass in her lung.  They recommended her to see a pulmonologist that Friday.  On Tuesday the 29th of October, She went into the er because the pain was unbearable.  At St Lukes Hospital they discovered she has two masses in her lungs. She was admitted and within a few days she had a biopsy of the larger mass.   For weeks she struggled with getting a proper diagnosis, one day they called and said she had lymphoma, another day they said she had sarcoma and honestly they could not figure out what she was battling until she had bronchoscopy done in mid December.
Once those results came back from the labs at Memorial Sloan Kettering it was defined that Louisa has Metastatic Melanoma.  Two masses in her lungs and in her lymph nodes.  She started her first treatment in late December.
If you know Louisa you know she is a beautiful soul, she's an amazing mother and the bestest friend anyone could ask for.  We created this fund to help her with the insurance and healthcare expenses.  I hope you are able to help in anyway possible and please share the link to help us make this an easier fight for her.
