Memories Lost in The Flames

Donation protected
On March 4th my friend ( a fellow veteran) lost his house and everything in it due to an electrical fire on the first floor. Not to mention it was his daughters birthday. The family lost everything from clothing to beds to a place to call home.

The girl's room was a total loss and Jim and his wife's room has so much smoke damage that they could not salvage anything either. They lost their washer and dryer as you can see in the picture below.  They will literally be starting from scratch.

Although we can't replace the memories they had, as a community that cares, we can help them to build new ones. I would like to raise as much as possible so that they can start rebuiilding their lives. Any donation, big or small, will be incredibly appreciated as this family is staying strong and coping with this loss.

Ask yourself this question...If I put myself in their shoes and this had happened to my family, how devastated would I be?Pretty devastated, right?

Now picture people from all over, people you don't know sending even a $5 donation just to help you so that you and your family can start rebuilding what you lost. How amazing and awesome would that be? It would definitely put a smile on your face.

If you have seen the pictures and read this and you are thinking, "I wish I could help." You can. Every little bit helps.

Below are the pictures of the aftermath of the fire. Get your tissues ready as this is gut wrenching and heartbreaking.

Imagine seeing this as you pull into your driveway.

Now, picture this as you raced to your house.

These brave firefighters did everything they could to put the fire out as quickly as possible. Amazingly they put out the fire before the whole house collapsed.

Unfortunately, The family lost everything. Nothing was salvageable due to being incinerated or smoke filled.

The laundry room. They lost their washer and dryer.

The top floor where one of their daughter's slept. Completely ravished by the fire!

the entrance to the daughter's room.

The daughter's stuff is completely destroyed. If you look in the top right corner you can see just the head of a stuffed animal. She had stuffed animals that had sentimental value......Gone!

More pictures of the upstairs room.

Continued.

As you can see, the shed outside was destroyed in the fire as well.

The side of the house from the outside. The top floor is where their other daughter's room was.

The backside of the house.

Thank you for reading this and seeing what a fire can do to a house and a family's dreams. Thank you for all the support and the ones who have donated thus far.
