Help Lorna get life changing surgery

On behalf of my best friend Lorna Farrell. I am starting this “GoFundMe” page with the aim of raising funds for life changing surgery that can help Lorna after being left disabled from a mesh implant. It is vital that Lorna gets this toxic mesh removed.
11 years ago Lorna had an operation for stress incontinence. The doctors inserted a plastic mesh implant that left her with a perforated bladder, nerve damage, automune disorders, in daily chronic pain, on heavy medication and using a wheelchair or Zimmer.
Her life has been devestated by this device. She went from being an active person, walking 5 miles every day, playing sports to spending most days isolated at home or crying in bed from the pain.
Lorna is the most amazing person you could ever meet. She is always smiling & always helping others: for example: despite her disability Lorna is Chaplain to a womens football team. She teaches creative workshops to the homeless. She shares her christian faith in churches to encourage others battling depression and she campaigns to stop others suffering like her. She and her 2 sons also gave me a place to live for 2 years when i needed help.
The operation Lorna needs is only available in America and is performed by a surgeon in Missouri called Dr Veronikis. His technique is called micro surgery and is Lorna's only hope of completely removing the toxic mesh currently stuck in her groin. All funds raised here will enable Lorna to travel from Scotland to America, get the operation and receive post op care.
We don’t know for sure if the operation will result in a pain free life & Lorna out of her wheelchair, however, getting the mesh out Lorna's body is urgent as some of the other women with the same implant are dying from sepsis or cancer because of complications that develop over time.
