Lori's Wild Horse Sanctuary Dream

I have had a dream of being on a photo safari in a wild horse sanctuary. I found a sanctuary right here in San Luis Obispo county where I live. As I looked over the web site, I found a 5 day experience specifically for experienced and professional photographers, to be on the land and photograph the horses with a well known photographer. I looked at the price and was going to close the window and walk away, and then I saw the dates of the event. It is the week of my birthday. I'm supposed to be there. This is MY birthday gift! How do I claim it? Am I willing to receive this? Am I willing to open myself to the vulnerability to ask for help to receive my dream? I posted on facebook to see how people would respond and in one day I was encouraged enough to formalize the request and create this GOfundME. I am humbled and honored to share this beautiful dream with you all and allow you to share in creating it!

The event is the last week of June. I'll need half the amount to pay the deposit. Once I raise $1500, I will pay the deposit and register. The June 3 event is already full, so I need to raise the deposit quickly so that I don't miss out on a spot. My goal is to raise the $1500 for the deposit by March 23rd and register on March 24th. Then raise the remainder between then and June 1.
I think the real thrill of this project for me is fully embracing my value in the world. There is an old lie that many of us bought into about not being good enough or not being worthy of "big things". It was an undercurrent much of my life. This, for me, is a declaration of being done with that. I can have that which I dream of. We all can. We just have to accept it and believe that it can happen. Now is the time for all of us to see our real worth and our real value and to step into accepting and receiving and being a channel for bigger things to happen through our saying "yes".
When you give this gift to me, you're acknowledging me in some way - that I have brought enough value to you or your life, that you're willing to help me realize this dream. This part of the experiment is the still wrapped gift that remains a mystery that will unfold over time as each person contributes. :)

In addition, if you contribute $50 you will be invited to my house for a dinner I will cook for all of those who contribute $50 or more - this will be in July and I will share about my experience.
