Lorelai’s trip to Japan

Lorelai has an opportunity to go to Japan, however due to a multiple amount of reasons, her mother and father cannot afford the trip. This is a dream of hers and we would love to make this dream come true for her.
Lorelai is 11 yrs old and currently in 6th grade. She is a straight A student with a multitude of interests. Outside of softball her biggest interest is in the Japanese culture. She enjoys researching about the culture and has to look up a new Japanese topic in YouTube daily. She loves watching YouTube vloggers and has an interest in travel blogging/vlogging one day. Outside of that she would love to meet her pen pal who lives in Tokyo and learn some cooking techniques to share with her baking club she helped create when she was nine.
This experience for her would not only make a dream come true but also be a huge learning experience. Tokyo would lend to various situations to break her out of some social anxieties. Interacting with locals, exploring shops and streets, and of course trying different foods and drinks. Experiencing another culture on the other side of the world, one so different from ours would be an outstanding teacher. An experience to learn from and grow from. Travel is one of the best teachers and her desire to learn is very high.
In return of your donation, she would love to document her trip and share it with you all. To use it in a future college application or stepping stone into the growing world of vlogging. A point of view not often shared from children of her age. She believes documenting from her point of view may interest others of her age to explore and learn of different cultures around the world. To her this isn’t a vacation but hands on learning and inspiration for peers.
So in closing, we know this is a lot to ask for. Especially for those who don’t know them. Life is hard and money doesn’t grow on trees. This is asking a lot of strangers. There is nothing more they would like to do than to provide this for her out of their own wallet, but sadly they cannot. However if we can reach her goal it would be appreciated more than words can be expressed. Do know if you donate, you will be fulfilling a dream and possibly kick starting a future career if you help. Not to mention giving her learning opportunities and putting her in an environment to help broaden her view of the world.
