Loran Family Medical & Funeral

Mike Loran was diagnosed with COPD on Wednesday and sent home by his physician after his Friday checkup with the advice to "just make it through the weekend." Unfortunately, despite the best efforts and careful monitoring of his wife and children, Mike stopped breathing Saturday night and emergency personnel were unable to resuscitate him.

Mike was a second generation over the road truck driver (his son, Chris, carries on this tradition) and worked for Jobbers Allied from the age of 15 until worsening knee problems forced him to give up the job he loved.

Mike leaves behind his beloved grandson and namesake, 7 year old Mikey, son Chris, daughter Lindsay, sisters Sue (Strasberg) and Cheryl (Nebraska) and his wife of nearly 40 years, Susi. Susi has been chronically ill and unable to work their entire married life, so along with the pain of losing the love of her life, she is also contemplating how to pay for the mounting medical bills and funeral costs without any health or life insurance (not to mention how to possibly keep their family home).
