Deepak's dream road trip to Europe

Donation protected
Namaste ,

I am Dk Chauhan, I recently traveled for 500 days across India and Bhutan on a borrowed motorcycle.

My friend Mrigank had  accompanied me for a small period across Bhutan .I am taking my friend (Mrigank) help to create this crowdfunding project and will be using his account to get the donation. He will be receiving the money and later transferring it to my account or giving me in Europe as Cash. As my account in India does not support donation through gofundme.

I am a traveler, rider, and a photographer from India. These 500 days have been incredible and, now, I wish to extend this once in a lifetime journey to Europe. Although I had exhausted my funds long ago while traveling, people's goodness kept me going. I wish to continue the same way & have started this crowd funding campaign to support my journey.

Why do I want to travel across Europe on a motorcycle?
I always wanted to travel and see my own country (India) before going abroad. I have been traveling across India since last 3.5 years, out of which 1.5 years were spent traveling on a motorcycle.

I had never imagined, I would be traveling so much. I wanted to do a regular job and live a happy family life which most of us are living, but destiny had something else written for me. Since I have seen most of India now, I wish to see other parts of the world starting from Europe.  Here is my small poem which I wrote during my India road trip , which defines my reason to travel

I wish I could fly, Over the ocean Into the sky
Touch the star, Sleep on cloud all night
Wake up with sun’s first light, Take a bath in waterfall so high
Spread my wings, Blow away with the wind
Across the horizons, Into the wild
Make my home far away on lonely roads ,Where river sing on mountains tunes
I wish I could fly, Over the ocean Into the sky

MyStory :
Have you ever heard of the famous Indian word "Jugaad". This particular word has different meanings in different situations. It could be an invention, making arrangements and sometimes act as a way of survival. My life is a true Jugaad.

I belong to Haridwar, near Rishikesh, a small town in Uttarakhand. I spent first 19 years of life in Haridwar only . I was not good in studies but by applying "Jugaad" each semester, I finally graduated in petroleum engineering from one of the most prestigious university of India (IIT Dhanbad). But didn't get a job in the oil field.

"Jugaad as Invention"
Luckily, I got a job at IBM. "Jugaad" is also a local form of the invention, so I filed 4 intellectual property(IP) in my first year of the job and as a result convinced my managers to allow me to work from home, so I could travel around India (that was another "Jugaad").

"Learning something yourself by Jugaad "
I didn't have much interest in software jobs as well, so I bought a DSLR from my first savings. I wanted to have a camera from my childhood but never had enough money to buy one. And these days DSLR are so cheap that every IT guy has one. So I bought one for himself and started traveling. The first 2 years, I traveled to most festival across India by bus or train. I, then, started traveling so I could click a lot of photos and learn photography by myself.

"A Jugaad Roadtrip "
Around 1.5 years ago, one of my friends called me & asked me to join for a road trip, as my friend didn't know how to ride a motorcycle. The initial plan was just to explore the few thousand kilometers across the coastal line of India. Here is small video from south India trip
But I ended up traveling to almost every corner of India .

First 300 days of journey , I was mostly traveling with my friend.

I had never planned such a long journey and just kept on moving, exploring all the places around India. It took me 500+ days to travel across India on a motorcycle( which I had borrowed from my friend).

I used to ride from 4 am till 10 am. Then, wherever I had reached I used to work for IBM (by arranging quick internet - Jugaad) using my laptop till 4pm. I have worked from highways, temples, parks and a lot of crazy places. After 4pm I used to travel again till 8pm .

"Jugaads for survival"
After leaving my job, it became difficult to fund my journey. I had to sell some belongings to get money. I used to tell stories to people and get some donations. I would knock doors for help and people would let me in and help me with food & stay. I got a lot of help from Motorcycle groups across India. And that's how I completed remaining 200 days for journey without job and source of income.

And now I am trying yet another Jugaad to crowdfund the journey of my dreams, that is, a 6 months bike trip across Europe.

"Jugaad for Europe road trip "

My goal is to share and inspire. Show others that traveling will always bring out a better human being.
Done be afraid to take a risk, quitting your job,  start traveling and become a storyteller. Follow you dream and inspire others to follow their dreams as well. I have a dream to travel around the world and after India tour I am planning my next trip to Europe
Please , Like, Share and Donate to support my  journey.

Most of the donation will be spent on fuel, my return flight, Visa and motorcycle maintenance.I will use couch surfing , hostels and be camping mostly for the stay. I will need minimum 60 euros per day for everything (food, stay and bike fuel).

Stay in hostel 1 day around 20-25 euros
Food for 1 day around 10 euros
Fuel and bike maintenance average 1 day 25 euros

So you can donate
for 1/2 day , 1 day , 2 days

or for just food , fuel and stay for 1 day
or as much as you wish to donate.

Whenever I get time and resources during my Europe journey , I will be sending Postcards with travel stories and a thank you note/photo from places where I will be able to travel because of your contribution.

I am looking for 10,000 euros for this road trip  across Europe on a motorcycle.
