LOLA - student short film
Hello everyone!
My name is Alma and on the behalf of my production group I am raising funds for our final year short student film named LOLA. Our film is about a young girl, Lola Coleman, who discovers a new ability to come to terms with a tragic event. With the help from her older brother Henry they find a way to escape reality as they hide in his wardrobe. With only a Rubik’s cube to pass the time, Lola finds herself having to confront the devastation left behind, but by doing so she loses the one thing she cares about the most.
We are a small group of film students who are all at their final year at the University of Hertfordshire and this is our graduation film. We want to make the best film we can and of the highest possible quality, not just to get a good grade but also so we could apply for festivals and show our film outside the lecture hall. To make this film come to life, we need the best locations, props and actors. For location, we need to hire a large house with a lake, a boat and a trained scuba diver. We are making a wardrobe from scratch to use in a studio to allow for some amazing camera work, and we want to find the best child actors and give them an amazing filming experience, which includes headshots. Furthermore, we are trying to get into festivals and hopefully show our film to as many people as possible as we believe it carries a powerful message.
