About me
I am a mother of 4 and full time family carer for 3 of my children who have additional needs. I am running for local election for the Athy area.
I only recently became involved in politics, it was the repeal campaign that made me become active and from there seeing the fights I have had to access support for my children made me see how broken our systems are, it needs to change.
I decided that I need to make a difference not only for my children but for others who have experienced similar to me and to initiate a change, standing for local election would be a good way start.
Politics was not something I envisioned myself getting involved in, I am not from a political background nor a family with political ties, just a regular person who is tired of the same broken promises and broken systems.
This can be changed, we can do that together. I can be a voice who understands the struggles many people have been through, the necessity of inclusion regardless of gender, race, ability, or economic circumstance and start a change that will make politics accessible to everyone.
In order to do this I need to raise funds to become ypur local voice because as we know nothing in life is free.
