Local Mobile Art Studio

So as an artist & community advocate, I’ve been looking for different ways to create fun art programs through LPS and the LNK community. After doing research and etc I’ve come to find out that yes we do have art programs for students outside of LPS, but these programs lack access to all students.

That’s where the Art Studio comes in!

Over the month of June, I will be converting a school bus into a mobile art studio. We will be traveling and parking at different neighborhoods/school parking lots everyday across Lincoln allowing easy & safe access to FREE art supplies all summer long to LNK Youth! We will have programming divided into different age groups (elementary, middle, high school and special programs for nursing homes and special needs students).

Here’s where you guys come in! Initially I was planning to start raising funds after I got the nonprofit documentation finalized, but learned things wouldn't be completed till after summer, so I’m reaching out to my social media friends to help me raise the $4,000!

Here’s a breakdown of the costs:
 
$3,000 would purchase the bus (will be purchasing from Cornhusker International - Russ Folts is the salesman)

$500 would allow for us to take out the seats, add in built in tables, storage, put in laminate flooring and paint the bus and

$500 would purchase ALL the various art supplies needed

You all helped me raise $1000 for students to watch the Black Panther in a week, I believe we can make this happen!
