Llama Retreats for Sick Children
Here at Dayboro Cottages and Llama Walks we would love to offer our farmhouse to families with sick children to enjoy a retreat away amongst animals and nature each fortnight of the year free of charge!
Hi my name is Annika and I manage this family property here in the beautiful Dayboro Valley, 45 mins from Brisbane QLD. Coming from a background in Art Therapy and working in mental health and disabilties as well as with children for over 20 years I can see the benefit of this type of respite that may not be otherwise afforded. I see the absolute delight and wonder that fills children each time they meet the llamas! It's a special thing to witness. Families are able to enjoy relaxing in our 3 bedroom farmhouse with Llamas, goats, chooks and more surrounding them on 60 acres, with opportunities to have one of our unique Llama Experiences which includes an educational tour and an up-close and personal feeding session with these majestic, gentle creatures.
The funds will be utilised to maintain the farmhouse and to replace bookings to the general public each fortnight as well as to advertise the retreat to families across South East Queensland. This amount is to host a family every fortnight in 2018! We would love your help to be able to achieve this! If we don't receive the total amount we will host as many as possible with the amount you so generously donate, even if that means two lovely families get to enjoy it!
Thank you kindly,
